Former attorney general William Barr disclosed this week that the Biden bribery case is still open and has been forwarded to the Delaware U.S. Attorney for additional investigation.

Barr was questioned on Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin’s assertion that Barr had closed an inquiry into an informant’s claim that President Joe Biden had consented to a $5 million bribe when he spoke with The Federalist.

“It’s not true. It wasn’t closed down,” Barr said when asked about Raskin’s comments. “On the contrary, it was sent to Delaware for further investigation.”

“Former Attorney General Barr went on the record with The Federalist following statements Raskin made to the press Monday afternoon. Soon after attending a closed-door meeting with House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer and the FBI — at which lawmakers reviewed the FD-1023 form summarizing a CHS’s detailed allegations that then-Vice President Joe Biden agreed to accept money from a foreign national to affect policy decisions — Raskin spoke to the media,” The Federalist reported.

Raskin explained in a statement to reporters following the meeting: “What I learned was that Attorney General Barr named Scott Brady, who was the U.S. attorney for Western Pennsylvania, to head up a group of prosecutors who would look into all the allegations related to Ukraine.” Brady’s team investigated the FD-1023 after Rudy Giuliani made these accusations and “in August determined that there were no grounds to escalate from an initial assessment to a preliminary investigation. They called an end to the investigation.”

Raskin went on to say that Barr and his “handpicked prosecutor Mr. Brady, who was a Trump appointee” were responsible for the decision not to look into the allegations made against Biden by the informant.

That is false, according to Barr.

The FD-1023 contains the informant’s allegations, which the former AG stated were forwarded to the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office for additional inquiry.

According to Florida GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, the FBI is “afraid” that an informant who provided it with information about a purported bribery plot involving the then-Vice President Biden would be “killed if unmasked.”

Since the Obama administration, the FBI has frequently used a whistleblower who has supposedly given Republicans proof that Biden was involved in corrupt “pay-for-play” schemes while serving as vice president and is considered to be “highly credible.”

According to the source, who has been identified as an “FBI confidential human source…used by the bureau in multiple investigative matters dating back to” Barack Obama’s two years in office, the former vice president “was involved in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national,” Fox News reported.

The news source added that a whistleblower recently contacted GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) with a claim that the FBI was in possession of a document known as an FD-1023 form dated June 30, 2020, that allegedly contains explicit information supplied by a trusted human source.

The source claims that the dossier details claims that Biden engaged in a $5 million illegal bribery plot while serving as vice president. Fox News noted that the strategy allegedly involves a foreign national and sought to gain control over political decisions.

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, the anonymous person who gave the FBI the information about Biden is a “pre-existing” FBI source who has been used in other investigations unrelated to the one involving Biden.

The insider also disclosed to the site that the FBI had been using the secret human source for “at least several years” prior to the creation of the FD-1023 form documenting the Biden claims in June 2020.

The confidential human source, who also took part in multiple investigations carried out during the Obama administration, was “consistently reviewed by the FBI” and was “found to be highly credible,” the source added in a statement to Fox.

Further mentioned by Fox News:

The information in the FD-1023 form, according to the whistleblower, reveals “a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose” and details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions.

An FD-1023 form is used by FBI agents to record unverified reporting from confidential human sources. The form is used to document information as told to an FBI agent, but recording that information does not validate or weigh it against other information known by the FBI.

The FD-1023 document, which claimed that the former vice president had participated in a criminal bribery plot with a foreign individual, was acknowledged to exist by FBI Director Christopher Wray. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Comer made reference to the House Oversight Committee’s broader investigation into the Biden family’s international business dealings. “This form, generated by the FBI from a highly credible human informant with years of experience, tracks closely with what we are seeing in our investigation into the Biden family’s influence-peddling schemes,” Comer said.
