The Senate unanimously voted 100-0 to suspend assistance to Azerbaijan for two years due to apprehensions of an imminent invasion of nearby Armenia.

According to Defense News, the Armenian Protection Act was fully approved by all senators with unanimous support on Wednesday. Senator Gary Peters, a Democrat from Michigan, proposed a bill that prohibits President Joe Biden from requesting an exemption in the fiscal years 2024 and 2025 to provide security aid to Azerbaijan.

The approval of the move comes after over 100,000 Armenians had left the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh territory as a result of a continuing Azerbaijani blockade that has lasted for over a nine-month period. Azerbaijan has been accused by Armenia of engaging in ethnic purification.

“We must send a strong message and show our partners around the world that America will enforce the conditions that we attach to military aid. If we do not take action when countries willfully ignore the terms of our agreements with them, our agreements will become effectively meaningless and toothless,” Peters, a member of the Armed Services Committee, declared during his address on the Senate floor on Wednesday.

Around the middle of October, Politico disclosed that Secretary of State Antony Blinken apprised a specific cohort of legislators about the ongoing surveillance of Azerbaijan’s inclination to initiate a military incursion against its neighboring country in the upcoming weeks.

Politico reported:

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has previously called on Armenia to open a “corridor” along its southern border, linking mainland Azerbaijan to an exclave that borders Turkey and Iran. Aliyev has threatened to solve the issue “by force.”

In an Oct. 3 phone call, lawmakers pressed Blinken on possible measures against Aliyev in response to his country’s invasion of the Nagorno-Karabakh region in September, the people said, who were granted anonymity to discuss the sensitive call.

Blinken responded that the State Department was looking at avenues to hold Azerbaijan accountable and isn’t planning to renew a long-standing waiver that allows the U.S. to provide military assistance to Baku.

“Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien told the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday before the Senate vote that the Biden administration does not intend to renew the waiver needed to provide security aid to Azerbaijan. The waiver is a longstanding point of contention between the State Department and the Congressional Armenian Caucus, which boasts more than 100 lawmakers,” according to Defense News.

Concurrently, the migration issue on our southern border has escalated under Joe Biden, surpassing previous levels and reaching a record high in terms of the number of illegal crossings on Tuesday.

According to Fox News, various sources from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have stated “that there were over 12,000 migrant encounters on Tuesday, adding that “over 10,200 of those were Border Patrol encounters of illegal immigrants coming between ports of entry.”

“That Border Patrol number is among the highest number of encounters ever recorded for the agency by itself but breaks a record when combined with the encounters by CBP’s Office of Field Operations at ports of entry,” Fox News explained.

Sources say that the agency currently faces a surplus of 22,000 migrants in detention, and several key Border Patrol sectors are exceeding their capacity by a large margin. The fiscal year of 2023 has set an all-time high with 2.4 million instances of encountering migrants, with the month of September recording the highest monthly total ever documented, surpassing 260,000 contacts. Despite a minor decrease, October achieved a record number of nearly 240,000 contacts, as reported by Fox News.

There is a lack of consensus between Republicans and Democrats in Congress about a border deal.

The GOP seeks to impose restrictions on entries and parole, attributing the current issue to President Joe Biden’s rollback of the border policies implemented by former President Trump. Democrats, on the other hand, assert that they will only consent to policy modifications if they can obtain amnesty for all undocumented immigrants presently residing in the nation. The Biden administration is seeking an additional $14 billion for immigration enforcement through a supplementary legislation.

Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, stated in an interview with CNN on Wednesday that the Biden administration is receptive to certain proposals from the GOP, while rejecting others. Mayorkas is effectively implementing the objectives of the White House which is run by globalists.

Freelance border reporter Jeff Rainforth spent 7 weeks camped out in Lukeville, Arizona, filming the crisis on the border there that led up to the closure of the port of entry.

On his Substack last month, Rainforth reported, “This was the last day the Lukeville port of entry was open. Mostly male illegal aliens from Islamic African nations. Fights were breaking out over places in line. 3 lines deep, 1000 illegals or more. I put Old Glory on top of my Jeep to remind them they are in America.”

This was going on for 6 months and MSM didn’t cover it. I camped in my Jeep and filmed at all hours for 7 weeks. Heading back and to various hot spots soon, maybe some international counter-terrorism stuff.
