While the reason for the removal of Tucker Carlson’s program off the airwaves late in April is still unknown, speculation has been rampant. While he’s not on Fox News’s massive outlet, Tucker is having no problem getting his voice out there.

A report published in early May claimed that a new network was interested in signing him and giving him complete creative control.
According to TMZ, Newsmax apparently wants to give Carlson his own primetime show on their network and let him run the whole channel’s schedule. Carlson would then have a lot of power, including the ability to decide what series will air on the network in the future.
“Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the news channel is doing everything it can to sweeten the deal for Tucker to come on board — including floating the idea of letting him program the whole channel, not just his own show. That would be a pretty enticing deal point … in addition to having his own primetime show, Tucker would have a say over what shows lead into and out of his show, which can be key in achieving bigger TV ratings,” according to TMZ.
While that deal may be in the works, new information regarding Tucker’s departure from Fox has just come out.
James O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas, got the scoop with his new media outlet, O’Keefe Media Group, aka OMG (Get it? OMG? Great branding there!), that Tucker was fired as part of the Dominion lawsuit settlement.
On Monday, O’Keefe Media Group released a covert video of a FOX Insider discussing Tucker Carlson’s termination.
Undercover reporters were informed by FOX News at Night producer Sean Langille that the Dominion settlement stipulated the firing of Tucker.
Here is a partial transcript of the video:
Sean Langille: $744 million to settle that.
Reporter: Oh, that was with the Dominion Company. What happened with that?
Sean Langille: Like, they gave him money. They say it wasn’t part of it, but we’re learning that Tucker getting fired part of that.
Reporter: Tucker getting fired was part of the Dominion lawsuit?
Sean Langille: Part of the settlement. Yeah, he’s ousted… And we got money from Pfizer… He (Tucker) brought up things that cost a lot of money. Cost the company a lot of money. This whole thing about January, it was an inside job. FBI agent on the inside encouraged it.
“O’Keefe, who recently separated from Project Veritas, has built a reputation for executing undercover sting operations with sources who believe they are speaking confidentially while on dates or out with associates,” according to Trending Politics News.
In the video, an “undercover journalist” speaks in passing about the issues and lets Langille fill in the details, like when he claimed the network is “beholden to advertisers” such as Covid-19 vaccine maker Pfizer. Langille intimated that “Big Pharma” was unhappy with Carlson’s criticism of its products and therefore exerted pressure on leadership to oust their primetime host.
Throughout the video, Langille details other actors who played a role in Carlson’s firing such as Mike LaRosa at Dominion who is “crafting Dominion’s message to the public,” and a “bunch of advertisers” who boycotted Carlson’s 8 p.m. hour but returned after he left the network. LaRosa, the former press secretary for First Lady Jill Biden, launched his own consulting firm in 2022 with his “sole client” being Dominion, Langille claims. He “left the White House to literally go take down the network that was being unfavorable to his boss,” Langille added in the video.

Late in April, speculation started to circulate about the potential replacement for Carlson on Fox News.
Mediaite put out an article titled, “Who Will Replace Tucker Carlson at Fox News? Here Are Mediaite’s Top Picks” which featured a list of potential hosts who might replace Carlson in the highly sought-after 8 PM time slot. Prior to making any final judgments regarding Carlson’s replacement, Fox News declared that it would alternate hosts.
Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham are the current occupants of the 7 PM ET, 9 PM ET, and 10 PM ET time slots, respectively.
According to Mediaite, Fox News could give Watters, Ingraham, or Hannity the 8 PM time slot by simply switching them about and testing a new host in a later time slot. In this manner, a host with more experience would just take over Carlson’s time slot on the network.
According to a recent survey, former Fox News star Tucker Carlson continues to have greater popularity among Americans than his previous employer.
According to the Rasmussen Reports poll, Carlson continues to have support from conservative and Republican voters. “Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Likely U.S. voters have a favorable impression of Carlson, including 36% who have a Very Favorable opinion of him,” the firm reported.
