DOJ Makes Surprise Announcement Against Americans’ Rights

Late on Friday night, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson capitulated to the Democratic Party’s irrational demands for spending, and in doing so, the Republican Party lost all power to demand improvements like border security and budgetary restraint.

The urge to prevent a government “shutdown” during election season propelled the Senate GOP to pass a $1.2 trillion omnibus funding plan, which is greater than any spending bill passed under previous Speaker Nancy Pelosi and current Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

But the midnight “shutdown” of the US government came and went without much hoopla or immediate repercussions for the country. To the relief of the political class, the omnibus spending measure was ultimately enacted and put into effect early on Saturday morning.

A troubling declaration that was made just hours after the budget package was passed caught the attention of the American people, including Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky.

“What the hell is this evil?” the Congressman reacted. “A Federal Red Flag center; We did not authorize this. Announced, of course, just hours after the omnibus passes.”

Attorney General Merrick Garland made the announcement of this “federal red flag center,” also known as the “National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center,” early on Saturday.

This red flag center is described by the DOJ as follows:

In order to help law enforcement officials, prosecutors, attorneys, judges, clinicians, victim service and social service providers, community organizations, and behavioral health professionals implement laws meant to keep guns out of the hands of people who pose a threat to themselves or others, the Justice Department established the National Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) Resource Center (the Center).

“The launch of the National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center will provide our partners across the country with valuable resources to keep firearms out of the hands of individuals who pose a threat to themselves or others,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “The establishment of the Center is the latest example of the Justice Department’s work to use every tool provided by the landmark Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to protect communities from gun violence.”

“Domestic violence protection orders serve as the model for ERPO laws, which establish a civil procedure that permits law enforcement, family members, medical professionals, and other groups to petition a court to temporarily forbid an individual who poses a risk of harm to themselves or others from obtaining and possessing firearms for the term of the order,” the DOJ continued.

A lot of conservative commentators expressed their outrage at the government red flag center announcement.

“The mere fact that someone has recently purchased a firearm could be a’red flag’ on the New York ERPO form,” Chief Nerd said.

Podcast presenter Breanna Morello stated, “Kamala Harris is visiting the high school where the Parkland mass shooting took place today.” “Parkland was visited by Christopher Wray yesterday. A Federal Red Flag center is now being announced by the DOJ. People, pay heed.

According to radio presenter and gun rights activist Dana Loesch, “Republicans voted to fund Biden’s agenda and a due-process destroying’red flag center’.” Right now, I don’t think the GOP is interested in winning in November. I’m not making this up; these are not the acts of a side that wants to engage in conflict or prevail.

Speaker Johnson neglected to provide Congressmen with adequate time to read the Omnibus Spending Package and comprehend its contents, which is a fundamental responsibility of representatives. This is one of the main problems with the way the House of Representatives forced through the law.

The typical reader needs 27.8 hours to read 1,000 pages, according to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). “I guess, as Nancy Pelosi suggests, we should just pass it first and then find out what’s in it.”

“This is the result of months and months of almost no effort being put forth to pass appropriations bills on a single issue, while three Continuing Resolutions (which extend Pelosi’s budget) were passed,” she said. “To stop this exact behavior, our Republican majority started this Congress with sweeping rule changes. Now, however, we are about to pass a second minibus under suspension, breaking the 72-hour rule and preventing any amendments.”

With the funding package set to pass soon, Representative Greene moved on Friday to take Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) seat.

It is a betrayal of the people of America. “This bill, which we had to vote on, betrays Republican voters by forcing them to choose between funding late-term abortion and funding military pay,” she declared during a press conference.

She went on, “This bill was essentially a dream and a wishlist for Democrats and the White House.” “Chuck Schumer led it entirely—not our conference, not our Republican Speaker of the House—and we were not even given the opportunity to amend the bill by bringing it to the floor.”

Bob Good, the Republican chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, also denounced the approaching approval of the budget plan.

He posed the hypothetical question, “Is there anything that some Republicans won’t do to keep this government open?” “Why are we rushing to maintain this government in place when its policies are severely hurting the American people?”

“It appears that this measure upholds the Pelosi-Schumer principles and spending caps, which were established from the omnibus that we all voted against, by around $60 billion,” he continued.

The evidence presented in the Supreme Court in Missouri v. Biden has demonstrated that the US government is undermining First Amendment rights.

It is now assaulting law-abiding Americans’ Second Amendment right to keep and bear guns, which is a final resort to keep an oppressive government from seizing power.

It is imperative that all Americans take note of this worrying development. The right to free expression and the ability for citizens to defend themselves against oppressors and criminals are essential for a government of, by, and for the people.
