Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania remains in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, according to an update from his office. His story is absolutely tragic, showing the greed and shallowness of the people who pushed him into the spotlight and demanded that he continue to face the stresses and rigor of a national campaign and accept the burdens and responsibilities of being in power in the US Senate.
There is a question of who loves this man enough to help him take care of his health. As details are emerging of his physical, mental, and emotional health struggles over the past year and a half, the American people have seen not just the betrayal of Fetterman himself but the deceitful responses of staff and media who are lying to the American people about what is happening to the person who represents them and their state.
Suspicions are running high, as rumors of Fetterman’s death have circulated on social media, showing a screen capture of a CNN article announcing his death on Feb. 23 or 24. The news organization has not validated the screen grab, yet the story is altering people to the fact that no one has seen or heard Fetterman in days, and his wife and children are out of the country where media can not address them.
The GOP in the state are demanding answers as well, releasing a statement of their own that they want to put eyeballs on Fetterman or hear from him, of call for a new election:
Washington County, PA released a statement demanding John Fetterman appear on camera to prove he’s alive and well. If he’s unable to carry out his duties as Senator, they want his resignation, so a special election can be held.

Because of this crazy story, the Fetterman’s constituents now have no representation from him, as he is hospitalized and unable to care for himself, according to media reports, but also he is unable to care for the state of Pennsylvania- who apparently voted for him, accepting they were likely going to be left in the lurch.
From what we know of Fetterman, 53, he suffered a dangerous and debilitating stroke in May of 2022. And while he limped along a national campaign, in obvious physical strain, he went on to win the election to the Senate in November on 2022, with the assistance of a lying corporate media.
In mid- February, just weeks after being sworn into office, Fetterman was evaluated by Dr. Brian Monahan, the attending physician of Congress, and checked himself in to be treated.
His staff said that he had symptoms of “clinical depression”, according to CBS reports on Fetterman’s health.
Stories began to come out that Fetterman has suffered from depression “off and on” throughout his life, according to Adam Jentleson, the senator’s chief of staff, noting it had become more frequent for some reason.
“We don’t have a lot to update folks with since there’s no real news to report except that John is doing well, working with the wonderful doctors, and remains on a path to recovery,” Joe Calvello, a representative of Fetterman’s office, said in a statement, according to The Washington Post.
“He is visiting with staff and family daily, and his staff are keeping him updated on Senate business and news,” he said.
“We understand the intense interest in John’s status and especially appreciate the flood of well-wishes,” Calvello said.
“However, as we have said this will be a weeks-long process and while we will be sure to keep folks updated as it progresses, this is all there is to give by way of an update,” he said.
The Western Journal reported on more details of the newest staff announcement:
Calvello said the office was working as usual.
“Our team is moving full speed ahead and working tirelessly for the people of Pennsylvania,” Calvello said. “Just last week we opened a new office in Erie and will be opening several more offices in the coming weeks.”
No update was released on the status of Gisele Fetterman, the senator’s wife, who last week noted on Twitter that she fled to Canada when her husband was hospitalized.
“I am not really sure how to navigate this journey but am figuring it out slowly. 1 week ago today when the news dropped, the kids were off from school and media trucks circled our home. I did the first thing I could think of … pack them in the car and drive,” she wrote Friday.
“We drove straight into … Canada (and lovely Buffalo NY) (Pro Tip: always have passports ready just in case you have to run away ) We talked about lots of hard things and how we will all have to face hard things. About the need to be gentle … with all and with ourselves,” she wrote.
NBC had quoted what it said was “a close senior aide” as saying Fetterman’s stay was likely to be extended until doctors were certain they had achieved the correct dosage for the medicine Fetterman would be taking.
The aide said Fetterman has been struggling with the changes that have taken place in his life and questioning his self-worth.
It is not a stretch to believe that Fetterman is suffering from depression, considering how the people around him are taking of his needs by lying about him and running out of the country.
