Fox Liberal Geraldo Viciously Mocked Over His Pick For GOP Presidential Nominee

Geraldo Rivera has made a career out of making far-out statements that defy logic, but the Fox News host has once again outdone himself in commenting on Republican politics.

When former President Donald Trump holds a massive lead in the polls as the front-runner for the Republican nomination, with sound challengers like South Carolina’s former Governor Nikki Haley and others such as Florida governor Ron DeSantis speculated to join the race, to suggest a nominee out of the left field for the Republicans is a notion no one would seriously entertain. Yet, Geraldo has.

Rivera has given his opinion on who he thinks the strongest alternative Republican candidate for president would be, and it did not appear that conservatives were enamored with the idea.

“Chris Christie could be the strongest GOP alternative for POTUS; savvy, swagger, moderation, toughness,” he said.

Christie, the former New Jersey governor, was a candidate in the 2016 presidential Republican primary until he left the contest and supported President Donald Trump.

But since the end of Trump’s presidency, he has been a vocal critic of the former president, and so his appeal within the Republican Party, and to Republican voters, has diminished significantly. He is not considered by Republicans to be a contender.

Predictably. Rivera was roundly mocked for his contention as Twitter lit up with responses to his ludicrous statement.

“Geraldo was doing some serious drugs over the weekend,” one respondent said.

“Is this a parody account?” Tim Young said.

“Someone lost their damn mind,” one Twitter user said.

“This is insanely out of touch,” another said.

Some postings were kinder and responded with facts.

“Jerry stop. I like Chris Christie as a person but his politics are too squishy to win a GOP nomination. He’s fine for being a Republican in NEW JERSEY but he is not where the majority of the party is politically,” another Twitter user said.

And, some stated the painfully obvious.

“Really Geraldo. You are so clearly a liberal,” another said.

Geraldo is no stranger to stating opinions that defy reasoning. He recently spoke on the topic of Hunter Biden’s international dealings as if there was not movement in this investigation. In fact, it is moving no thanks to the brakes being put on by the Biden government.

House Republicans were just given access to President Joe Biden’s banking documents which may include transactions from his son Hunter Biden, Fox News reported. House Oversight Committee Chairman and Tennessee Rep. James Comer made the announcement when he spoke to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday. “We just got word that Treasury said they will give us access,” the representative said.

The Biden administration has yet to confirm such a move. News of the agreement came hours after Comer’s Oversight Committee subpoenaed more bank records from the Bank of America earlier Monday. The subpoenas targeted ‘all financial records’ from three of Hunter Biden’s business associates dating from Jan. 20, 2009, to the present,” Fox News reported.

“The Oversight Committee has subpoenaed and obtained financial records related to the Biden family’s influence peddling,” a committee spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “These documents solidify our understanding of several areas of concern and have opened new avenues of investigation about the Biden family’s business schemes.”

Comer said that members of his panel have finally received documents they say show how the Biden family has been getting money from Communist China, a country considered to be the primary rival to U.S. global supremacy for the foreseeable future. “We are finally having people cooperate with us,” Comer told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo. “I think we all know the Biden administration is stonewalling, Janet Yellen is stonewalling, not turning over the bank violations. But fortunately, since we’ve last spoken, we actually have bank records in hand.”

Ignoring the actual progress being made in the matter, Rivera took to Twitter to jab the House Oversight Committee for their investigations into Hunter Biden and his financial records, saying it’s time to “put up or shut up” regarding the alleged law-breaking activity.

“Hunter Biden has been investigated for almost five years. Aside from fact he’s been a junkie dirtbag nothing remotely criminal has been uncovered,” Rivera wrote. “Put up or shut up.”

those who follow the actual news and are aware of the progress being made in the investigation despite roadblocks, took to social media to slam Rivera for his comments, with some even calling for him to be fired.

The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway tweeted in response: “Setting aside the gun crimes, prostitution crimes, drug crimes, tax crimes, bribery receipts, foreign agent shenanigans, money laundering, pay-for-play, and kid-glove treatment from the corrupt and politicized FBI and DOJ, this is a really astute observation,” and others concurred on social media.
