Jessica Tarlov of Fox News withdrew her shocking statement that a Super PAC supporting Trump was covering Tony Bobulinski’s legal bills. Bobulinski is a witness in the Republican investigation investigating President Joe Biden’s impeachment.
In his testimony before a congressional committee on Wednesday, Bobulinski—a former business associate of Hunter Biden—made a compelling case for the first family’s worldwide corruption, which infuriated lefties like Tarlov, who responded by fabricating information about his connection to the former president.
However, Bobulinski’s lawyers responded to her “maliciously blatant lie” with a letter to her employer threatening to sue for her defamatory statement if she didn’t withdraw it, which she did on Thursday’s Fox News episode of “The Five.”
“I would like to clarify a comment I made yesterday during our discussion of Tony Bobulinski’s appearance at the congressional hearing. During an exchange with my colleagues about the hearing I said that Mr. Bobulinski’s lawyers’ fees have been paid by a Trump super PAC as recently as January,” Tarlov said.
“What was actually said during the hearing was that the law firm representing Mr. Bobulinski was paid by a Trump PAC. I have seen no indication those payments were made in connection with Mr. Bobulinski’s legal fees and he denies that they were,” she admitted.
As she was reiterating the talking points for the hearing of the day, Tarlov made her patently false accusation regarding Bobulinski and the former president’s PAC in response to co-hosts Jesse Watters and Jeanine Pirro challenging her.
“It does make sense because there is not the clear line that you guys have been alleging,” she said.
“Yes there is,” Pirro said as Tarlov shouted over her. “You just have to put the pieces together. Are you so simple that you cannot put together a circumstantial case where you take a piece from here, a piece from there, the money goes there, this is an eyewitness…”
Tarlov then claimed, “Ok, Tony Bobulinski’s lawyers’ fees have been paid by a Trump Super PAC. That’s as recent as January.”
“Ms. Tarlov stated that Mr. Bobulinski’s legal fees are being paid by a Trump Super PAC. This is unequivocally false and defamatory,” wrote attorney Jesse Binnall of the Binnall Law Group in the Thursday letter. “We will immediately file a defamation lawsuit against Fox, and Ms. Tarlov, if this lie is not retracted by Ms. Tarlov on air today, March 21, 2024.”
NEW: Tony Bobulinski's attorney, Jesse Binnall, is demanding a retraction and apology from Fox New's Jessica Tarlov after comments made on “The Five” falsely stating that his legal fees are being paid by a Trump Super PAC:

“Consistent with her pattern of previous conduct, Ms. Tarlov’s comments were intended to be, and are, extremely damaging, making her immediate retraction of the utmost importance,” the letter read.
“It was a mistake to believe Ms. Tarlov’s defamatory comments are without consequence. We will be watching today’s show,” Binnall wrote.
