Jesse Watters, the anchor of Fox News, dedicated a portion of his prime time show on Tuesday to making suggestions that politicians in Washington may be involved in insider trading, which a lot of Americans actually believe is happening. The targets of the group included members from both the Democratic and Republican parties. One particular Republican individual expressed discontentment over being included in this group of people.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), who is a former Navy SEAL, blasted Watters in Instagram Story messages, referring to him as a “fucking clown,” a “fucking hack,” a “dirtbag millionaire,” and a “mediocre” entertainer. Furthermore, he insulted him by labeling him a “loser” who was privileged and “grew up with a silver spoon,” as well as “cheated on his wife and then left her with twins while he went off with another Fox producer.”
Although Crenshaw wasn’t the primary subject of the segment, he is explicitly referred to and shown on the chart. Crenshaw did not challenge the numbers mentioned by Watters and did acknowledge that he has a total of “$10,000 invested in stocks” However, he clarified that he has not executed any transactions in the past year. Additionally, he stated that during his time in Congress, he “never had more than $20k invested.” He further commented that “Fox knows this but they’re desperate for fake controversy to get clicks.”

The screenshots of Crenshaw’s Instagram postings were put up on the liberal website Meidas Touch. Crenshaw first defended himself, then told Watters to present his claims in a face-to-face encounter:
Hey you fucking hack, if you’re gonna accuse me of literal corruption, get your facts straight and man up and come accuse me to my face. You’re a fucking clown desperate for clickbait. …
Watters is a tool, making millions to push conspiracies on tv and bash veterans like me who are barely a fraction of his net worth. Wake up America. The political entertainment industry is almost always lying to you.
The second Instagram post featured the complete list sourced from unusual_whales on Twitter/X, which Watters utilized in his show. This post offered additional context regarding Crenshaw’s true ranking, which was considerably lower than it seemed during the broadcast. In the third post Crenshaw continued to blast Watters:
I’m sitting here trying to feed my 3 month old and this dirt bag millionaire at Fox is accusing me of being a criminal with zero evidence.
Stop watching these mediocre entertainers.
Stop letting wealthy elitists like [Jesse] Watters claim to be “fighting for you.” They live in Manhattan and can’t stand normal people who live in red states. They think you’re stupid and feed you bullshit to rile you up.
In the fourth post, Crenshaw went on:
Losers like Watters grew up with a silver spoon. His family is made up of well connected journalists and politicians. And for some reason, people are fooled into believing he’s some genuine blue collar conservative. Yeah, he’s such a “conservative” he cheated on his wife and then left her with twins while he went off with another Fox producer.
And in his final post, Crenshaw went with a guy-humor insult:
And let’s be honest, Jesse Watters seems like the type of dude who pees sitting down.
Watters’ has not responded to Crenshaw on social media at the time of this writing.
The liberal site Meidas Touch did add this about Crenshaw and Watters relating to their past relationship:
“In 2021, Crenshaw had Watters on his podcast, praised his show, and told Watters: “I appreciate all you do, Jesse.” Crenshaw has also made appearances on Watters’ Fox News show with at least one within the past year.”
Last year, Watters, the host of Fox News’s prime time slot formerly held by Tucker Carlson, went on a furious rage during his program, fiercely criticizing the indictment of former President Donald Trump that was announced on Monday. Supporters of the previous president were drawn to Watters’ vehement criticism of the court process.
Trump also railed against the indictment in a statement.
Special Prosecutor Jack Smith’s indictment cites four offenses related to the disturbances on January 6, 2021.
Before jumping into his scathing attack, Watters first went over the contents of the indictment in his broadcast.
“‘Impaired the federal government from functioning’… isn’t that literally the Republican party platform to reduce the ability of the federal government for functioning?” Watters cried out. “And then they say it’s a crime to ask Pence not to certify. I wonder if Pence would agree that that was a crime.”
“And then lastly they’re saying lying about an election is illegal. Well then, Hillary, lock her up!” Watters yelled.
