On his Friday program, late-night Fox News anchor Greg Gutfeld didn’t hold back when he attacked Michael Keaton for posting a brief video last week warning “men” not to go to any of former President Donald Trump’s rallies.
Before airing a snippet of Keaton’s tweet, Gutfeld said during his monologue, “Democrats’ desperation is so bad they got Beetlejuice on board to tell men not to go to Trump’s rallies.”
“You know, for some of you folks who, guys mostly, I guess, who are thinking about attending a rally with Trump and Musk, they don’t really respect you, they laugh at you behind your back, they think you are stupid,” Keaton charged.
“They don’t want to hang out with you, they have nothing in common with you, they are not your bros, they have no respect for you. Trust me,” he added.
Gutfeld was agitated by that.
“What a f**king idiot,” the host began. “He doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about, and it’s a cowardly cop-out for he avoids the most obvious question: what about the smart, informed, and successful men who are backing Trump? RFK, Musk, Bill Ackerman, Vivek (Ramaswamy), David Sacks, Dana White, and, of course, Joe Exotic,” he quipped.
“Has Keaton ever asked himself that? It’s a huge blind spot, which is why he chooses to target an unnamed, unknown group of men that he portrays as easily persuadable because he’s so smart and can employ dime-store psychology as if he has a superpower. Because they are so stupid unlike a guy who plays dress-up for a living. Maybe if we say his name three times, he would shut the f**k up,” Gutfeld said, to audience laughter.
Joe Rogan, a well-known podcaster and another extremely wealthy man, also seems to be leaning for the former president.
As he talked about his first White House bid, Rogan commended the billionaire business and real estate tycoon for his “comedic instincts” in his interview with Trump, which was uploaded to his YouTube and Spotify accounts on Friday and has received over 33 million views on the latter platform.
Recalling a 2016 debate between the future president and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Rogan said that Trump truly understood that he is just naturally humorous.
Considering that Rogan has been a stand-up comic for decades in addition to being a podcaster and UFC analyst, that is a noteworthy compliment. He also starred in the popular sitcom “NewsRadio” in the 1990s.
“It’s just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country,” Rogan specifically referred to Trump’s now-famous remark that he sneaked in during a particularly heated debate section.
Trump retorted right away, saying, “Because you’d be in jail.”
Rogan also lauded Trump’s ability to make people laugh by making fun of other people, especially President Joe Biden. Rogan remarked, “It’s funny, it’s standup.”
The interview also featured a number of somber moments, such as when Trump referred to being president as a “very dangerous business” after two near-misses with potential killers.
During his nearly three-hour interview on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” which received over 26 million views within 24 hours of airing, Trump highlighted the perils of being president, implying that officials and commentators rarely bring up the assassination attempts on him.
“I do things that don’t necessarily make me so popular. I just do what’s right,” Trump, 78, said. “I understand what I’m doing. You make yourself a target, and it’s a very dangerous business. I never thought of that when I did it.”
