After the 2020 election, Fox News anchor Jesse Watters called for the dismissal of two anti-Trump Fox hosts. According to texts acquired by The Daily Beast, Watters texted former Fox News star Tucker Carlson to vent his annoyance with Fox anchor Chris Wallace and presenter Neil Cavuto.

Wallace, Cavuto, and others need to go, according to a text message sent by Watters. We require some new blood. They ought to hire some Trump supporters. This is based on texts that were discovered during the defamation action against Fox that Dominion Voting Systems, Inc. has since settled.

The two Fox hosts in question have drawn a lot of criticism over the years, especially Chris Wallace, who many feel has a liberal tilt. Watters’ complaints over the network’s alleged lack of backing for the previous president Donald Trump are probably what motivated him to demand their dismissal.

Carlson seemed to feel the same way. Here is footage of Tucker discussing why lefties shouldn’t work at Fox in an off-camera conversation.

Watters has been a regular on Fox News for years and is well-known for his vociferous backing of Trump. He frequently appears as a guest on programs like “The Five” and “The Ingraham Angle” and has even hosted his own network program.

Many people have long believed that Fox News has been edging more and more liberal and away from its conservative roots. This will undoubtedly stoke the fire and perhaps prompt other requests for network upgrades. Whatever happens after that, the effects of the 2020 election are still being felt across the whole conservative media environment. The conflict for the GOP’s very essence is still going strong as the 2024 election draws near.

The staffing issues at Fox News run deep and were apparently an issue for Carlson for some time. This has become more apparent since his departure from the network, as leaked videos have recently emerged showing his concern for liberals working on Judge Jeanine Pirro’s show and that the network was under attack by leftist “moles.”

Carlson was on the set of his show talking to Justin Wells, his executive producer, about an exchange he had involving a female Fox executive, in one of the clips that were leaked to the liberal Media Matters for America (MMfA).

Carlson expressed alarm about lefty employees at Fox, saying individuals with pronouns in their Twitter bios shouldn’t work there.

Fox News personality Jeanine Pirro allegedly had a hard-core lefty as her executive producer, and Carlson said that he “d*cked” her over.

Carlson was concerned that liberals who would wish to delegitimize Pirro and the network might run Pirro’s program.

“I talked to her at great length. It was actually pretty funny,” Carlson told Wells. “I was like, she’s got a lot of liberals working over there. And, you know, they see this as war and we’re the main force on the other side.”

“That’s crazy,” he went on. “If you’ve got pronouns in your Twitter bio, you shouldn’t work here because we can’t trust you because you’re on the other side.”

Carlson added that he declined to “name names” regarding who “did it,” stating, “Just because you’re liberal doesn’t mean you did this. It does mean you shouldn’t work here. And Roger would never put up with this sh*t.”

Later on, he calls “Judge Jeanine [Pirro]’s guy,” one of the allegedly leftist Fox employees, “horrible” and “a screaming left-wing lunatic.”
