Liberal Supreme Court Issues Major Ruling

On Friday, the Oregon Supreme Court  refused to consider the case that sought to prevent former President Donald Trump from being listed on Oregon’s primary and general election ballots. Instead, they chose to wait for the U.S. Supreme Court’s upcoming decision on a similar issue.

In the flurry of an extensive effort led by Democrat organizations, an attempt has been made to dispute Trump’s eligibility to hold federal office based on the 14th Amendment. This amendment bars anyone who have “engaged in insurrection” from being in the position.

A statement by Oregon’s top court indicated that “A decision by the United States Supreme Court regarding the Fourteenth Amendment issue may resolve one or more contentions that relators make in this proceeding.”

“Given that possibility, we deny relators’ petition for a writ of mandamus at this time, without prejudice to relators’ ability to file a new petition seeking resolution of any issue that may remain following a decision by the United States Supreme Court.”

The Oregon action, spearheaded by Free Speech for People, a prominent national advocacy organization, aimed to legally compel the Secretary of State of Oregon to uphold and implement the requirements of the 14th Amendment.

Nevertheless, state attorneys argued that the jurisdiction to assess the eligibility of presidential candidates does not lay within the purview of the state. This stance is in agreement with the notion that the determination of the constitutional qualifications for presidential candidates falls under the jurisdiction of the federal government.

Free Speech For People, a leftist activist group, filed a lawsuit at the end of last year, specifically targeting the Oregon Supreme Court. The organization expressed “The Oregon Supreme Court’s decision not to decide is disappointing,” as stated in their statement released on Friday.

“Waiting until the U.S. Supreme Court issues its order only compresses the time that the Oregon Supreme Court may have to resolve the issues that may remain.”

The Trump campaign expressed approval of the ruling. “Today’s decision in Oregon was the correct one. President Trump urges the swift dismissal of all remaining, bad-faith, election interference 14th Amendment ballot challenges.”

Democrats began trying to disqualify Trump from holding federal office by way of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment ever since the violence at the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.

Fox News held a town hall specifically for Trump in Iowa on Wednesday night. There, Trump unveiled his strategy for “ultimate retribution” following the Biden presidency.

Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum of Fox hosted the event.

“We are run by fools,” Trump exclaimed. “We’re run by stupid people. But we ran it very smart for four years and we won everything. We won everything.”

“Mr. President, you’re talking a lot about policy,” Baier said, adding. “You get questions about what a second term’s going to look like when you’re in your rallies. You spend a lot of time talking about retribution, and so there are questions about how much a second term of a Donald Trump presidency, a second term, would be about retribution and looking backwards in grievances and how much would be looking forward?”

Trump answered, “Well, first of all, a lot of people would say that that’s not so bad. Look what they did. Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, the FBI Twitter hoax, the 51 intelligence agents hoax. All of these different hoaxes that they did. I mean, a lot of people would say, that’s probably quite normal.”

“I’m not going to have time for retribution,” Trump went on to applause. “We’re going to make this country so successful. Again, I’m not going to have time for retribution. And remember this, our ultimate retribution is success.”

“When we had, just prior to the China virus coming in, if you don’t mind, I’d like to be accurate as opposed to Covid,” the former president explained. “It is the China virus. It came out of Wuhan, and I said a long time ago in your show it came out of Wuhan. They were saying it came out of caves, bat caves, 2000 miles away. It came out of Italy. It came out of France. No, it came out of Wuhan. The labs. And by the way, I don’t think it was done. I think it was done out of incompetence. That’s what I think. I believe that the scientists went out, said hello to his girlfriend, and that was the end of that. She died and then people started dying all over the place. But who knows? Who knows?”

“I can tell you one thing, I got along with President Xi, but I took in 400 billion in tariffs and taxes from China, and one of the reasons China’s not doing so well today is because of those tariffs and Biden wants to cut ’em,” Trump noted. “He got paid off by China after all. So he wants to help the people that gave him a lot of money, but he is a Manchurian candidate in a true sense. He got money from China, he got money from Russia.”
