Following the publication of shocking whistleblower testimony that suggests President Joe Biden was complicit in his son Hunter’s attempt to extort money from a Chinese Communist official in 2017, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was bombarded with inquiries from reporters in the press pool who demanded an explanation for the scandal’s escalating circumstances.
The Post Millennial reports, “The rapid slide downhill for Jean-Pierre began when a reporter asked “if the President invited Hunter to the State Dinner held in honor of Indian President Narendra Modi, would he have invited anyone who wasn’t his son, but was under a plea deal with Federal prosecutors to attend?” Jean-Pierre replied, “I’m just not gonna get into family discussion, personal family discussion.”
“That’s his son. It’s a — He’s a family member. It’s not uncommon for family members to attend events at the White House. We could look at past presidents, I’m sure you have. So that is not uncommon. As it relates to anything related to Hunter, I’m just not going to respond to it from here.”
A few reporters jumped on the Hunter tangent because they may have detected metaphorical blood in the water.
According to the outlet, a second reporter followed up after making reference to yet another non-response from the National Security Council’s coordinator for strategic communications, John Kirby, who had previously responded to the question by saying, “It’s not an unreasonable question to ask, for the President of the United States to be involved, as this message seems to suggest, in some sort of coercive conversation for business dealings by his son.”

According to the Washington Examiner, six separate reporters repeatedly pressed the Biden administration on Friday afternoon for a statement to the damning WhatsApp message Hunter Biden allegedly delivered to a Chinese official in 2017.
According to the report, Newsmax reporter James Rosen questioned Kirby, “Does this not undermine the president’s claim during the 2020 campaign and the reaffirmations of that claim by his two press secretaries since then, that he never once discussed his son’s overseas business dealings with him?”
Kirby answered, “No.” flatly adding, “I’m not going to comment further on this.” Through a terse exchange, he added, “Let me save you some breath. If you’re going to ask about this, I am not address — I am not going to address this issue from this podium.”
Kirby then stepped down from the podium, and Jean-Pierre took his place. Like Kirby, Jean-Pierre obstructed media questions by directing them all to the White House attorney, who responded with a frustratingly condensed statement that said very little.
“As we have said many times before, the President was not in business with his son. As we have also said many times before, the Justice Department makes decisions in its criminal investigations independently, and in this case, the White House has not been involved,” it told the Examiner in a statement. “As the President has said, he his son and is proud of him accepting responsibility for his actions and is proud of what he is doing to rebuild his life.”
Even The New York Times demanded an explanation from the White House, with a reporter remarking, “It’s a reasonable question to ask.”
“The president of the United States is involved, as this message seems to suggest, in some sort of a coercive conversation for business dealings by his son. Is that something that, if he wasn’t, then maybe you should tell us?”
“My colleague at the White House counsel has already answered this question,” Jean-Pierre reiterated. I honestly don’t have anything to add beyond what my colleagues have shared, she dodged. Every attempt after that experienced only slight variations in the response.
