Marjorie Taylor Greene Roasts Eric Swalwell To His Face

Courageous US Rep. Republican Majorie Taylor Greene from Georgia, who holds no punches, said the quiet part out loud about deceitful, corrupt, and likely adulterous US Rep. Democrat Eric Swalwell from California on Thursday, making news go viral about the exchange she had with him at a House Committee hearing.

“A meeting of the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday went completely off the rails after Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene accused California Rep. Eric Swalwell of having a sexual relationship with a Chinese spy,’ San Franciso media reported.

The Daily Caller reported it as roasting of Swalwell during a hearing Tuesday for his alleged “sexual relationship” with a suspected Chinese spy.

The Democrats pouted about the comments being too mean.

Democratic New York Rep. Dan Goldman then interrupted her, demanding that the committee remove Greene’s comment from the record.

Goldman, D-N.Y., interjected, requesting that Greene’s comment be stricken from the record and that she be prevented from speaking further.

“Completely inappropriate,” Goldman said.

“A motion has been made,” Mark Green, R-Tenn., the committee’s chairman, said. “The committee will suspend, and the gentleman will state the words that he wishes taken down. ”

“Everything that the gentle lady from Georgia has said,” Goldman responded.

“No, you need to be more specific,” Green replied.

The latter part is not an appropriate motion,” Green responded, “but we will evaluate the striking of those words. Give me just a second.”

After giving Greene a chance to retract her comments and saying, “No, I will not,” Green ruled that the words would not be stricken from the record.

Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., appealed the ruling, saying he was “appalled” and “embarrassed” by Greene’s words.

The motion was eventually tabled, and Greene was permitted to continue her questioning of Mayorkas.

Greene subsequently called Mayorkas a “liar,” at which point Democrats successfully got those words stricken from the record for violating rules against impugning a person’s character. As a result, Greene was barred from speaking for the rest of the hearing.

“Accusations of an affair with a Chinese spy,” Goldman said. “Those are engaging in personalities, and those words should be taken down, and the gentle lady should not be able to speak anymore in this hearing.”

Greene was asked to retract her words about Swalwell and denied the request. GOP Tennessee Rep. Mark Green, the committee chair, then refused to strike her taunt from the record, and committee Republicans thwarted Democrats’ next bid to appeal the ruling.

Before Greene’s remarks, Swalwell questioned Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about a rise in antisemitic. He displayed an October 2022 tweet by the House Judiciary GOP that read “Kanye. Elon. Trump,” praising the two right-leaning celebrities and the former president. The tweet was deleted in December after West delivered an antisemitic rant on Alex Jones’s InfoWars program.

Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy removed Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee for his alleged relationship with Christine Fang, a suspected Chinese spy also known as Fang Fang. She allegedly cultivated connections with Swalwell and other California politicians from 2011 to 2015 at the direction of China’s Ministry of State Security.

Fang allegedly bundled campaign contributions for Swalwell and provided an intern for his congressional office, according to a lengthy Dec. 2020 Axios report. In addition, she reportedly developed close ties to Swalwell and had sexual relations with two mayors from midwestern U.S. cities.

Swalwell has denied any wrongdoing in his relationship with Fang.

Charlie Kirk, the founder, and president of Turning Point USA, posted a perfectly timed tweet about the smackdown, reminding people that Swalwell is notorious for calling then-sitting President Donald J. Trump a Russian Spy.

The SanFran media outlet continued to run cover for Swalwell, reporting:

Greene’s remarks referenced Swalwell’s professional relationship with Christine Fang, who U.S. intelligence officials believe was working on orders from Beijing to befriend up-and-coming politicians in an attempt to gain information and leverage. Swalwell has never been accused of any wrongdoing by law enforcement.

Wall Street Journal policy reporter Michelle Hackman said on Twitter that Greene was later barred from speaking during the hearing after she called Mayorkas a liar. Hackman said the committee decided to gag Greene only a few minutes after the altercation over her comments about Swalwell.

Swalwell later addressed Greene’s comments in a tweet.

“The hardest thing I do every day is to wake, feed, and dress 3 little monsters who are 5 and under. Dealing with this crazy lady’s delusions is like dunking in Oz,” he said.

Posters notice that the comments will be on the record:

More on Swalwell’s lies about Trump:

Of course, many people remember that Swalwell has been the butt of jokes by Trump supporters for some time:

But he seems especially sensitive about being connected to the woman known to be a member of the Chinese Communist Party, and MTG seems determined to make sure the world remembers that.
