Odd New Disclaimer Issued About Kate Middleton

In a video message that was aired last month, Kate Middleton surprised the world by declaring that she is presently receiving cancer treatment. Palace authorities have appended a new disclaimer to the film, which has brought it under further scrutiny.

Kensington Palace accepted the disclaimer that Getty Images posted to their website.

“EDITOR’S NOTE: This Handout clip was provided by a third-party organization and may not adhere to Getty Images’ editorial policy,” the caption reads, followed by standard information about the clip.

When Fox News asked Getty for a statement, the media outlet responded that it is customary to include an editor’s note with “handout content provided by third-party organizations.”

Following a strange episode in which palace authorities acknowledged that a photo of Middleton, Prince William, and the couple’s children had been altered, questions about the authenticity of images of the Royal Family have grown. Many media sites removed the photo, including Reuters, Getty, and the Associated Press, citing indications of photo tampering.

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing,” Middleton said in her apology a day later. I wanted to apologize for any misunderstanding that may have arisen from the family photo we shared yesterday.

Given that Middleton had only been seen once since December and had undergone an abdominal treatment earlier this year, the picture immediately aroused great anxiety about her whereabouts and general health.
