Prince Harry seems to have been ignored by King Charles when his estranged son was visiting his native nation.

The latest indication of the Duke of Sussex’s severe split from the royal family is the snub.

According to reports, the king was too busy to meet with his son, who was paying a rare visit to the UK in observance of the Invictus Games.

Harry developed a sports tournament called Invictus for injured veterans.

After leaving his royal duties in 2020 and relocating to the United States with his bride, Meghan Markle, Harry has been increasingly distant from Buckingham Palace.

The pair, in interviews with the media and in their candid biography Spare, has been critical of the royal family.

The much-publicized split, known as Megxit, is keeping the royal family under observation while King Charles fights cancer.

This week, Harry went to England, but it seems that his father was unable to make time for him.

A Harry representative issued the following statement:

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program.

“The Duke, of course, is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

Another seeming slight came when Prince William, the eldest son and heir to the throne, was named commander of the British Army Air Corps in a ceremony that was part of the King’s itinerary.

Harry’s previous military outfit was the Army Air Corps.

According to the Independent, Harry would have been the recipient of the award if he hadn’t resigned from his royal duties.

The palace released a statement saying:

“His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales will formally take over as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps from His Majesty the King.”

Royal analyst Tom Quinn claims that Harry was “in tears” by the rejection.

According to Quinn, the royal family is making it very evident that Harry is not cut out for this world.

He called the news “a real kick in the teeth for the son who always felt marginalized and underrated.”

“But they have decided the gloves are off and that Harry needs to realize that when you betray the family, you don’t just escape the things you hated doing as a working royal.

“You also lose the things you loved.”

There was a garden party at Buckingham Palace as part of the King’s engagements.

Prince Harry’s appearance at St. Paul’s Cathedral to commemorate the Invictus Games was only two miles away from the palace.

The medal his father awarded him during his coronation was left unworn by Harry.

For some, the action is a retaliation against the King.
