Gun control didn’t stop the assassination of a newly elected Republican councilwoman, who was murdered in front of her home this week, and the media are ignoring the potential political violence against Conservatives- again, even though the woman killed was a Black American.
The 30-year-old borough councilwoman, Eunice Dwumfour, a young mother of one, was shot to death near her home Wednesday night as she returned home, authorities said.
A 911 call reported shots fired around 7:22 p.m. in the area of Samuel Circle in the Parlin section of the borough, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Sayreville Police Chief Daniel Plumacker.
Police on the scene said they were investigating and looking for suspects, but no arrested had been made:

One witness said that the gunman shot at Dwumfour and drove off quickly from the Camelot at La Mer apartment complex.
Her friends and associates described her as a faithful Christian who worked for a who worked for a Nigerian-based church group. A friend told DailyMail.com that she and her family had just returned from Nigeria on a church trip – describing her as ‘bubbly and nice’.
Family members told USA Today that she lived at the property with her 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Her sister Priscilla said: ‘She was always happy, very humble and had respect.’
Detective Juan Rodriguez and Pastor Doctor Nelia Rodriguez posted online saying: “I just saw her this morning at the store.”
“I remember saying to her I’ll see you at the HRC meeting tomorrow not knowing tonight was going to be the end of her life.
Authorities have released nothing further about the slaying.
The fact that the Black Republican councilwoman was killed in the first days of “Black History Month” and there has been no ‘wall to wall’ coverage should tell Americans about the corporate media’s approach to the truth. This is proof that there is an agenda with the big well-funded media to carry a narrative, so they can influence public opinion about which black lives matter to them.
Where are the leftist cable networks? There are scant few articles out there on this tragic death, but nothing like what anyone would expect if the councilwoman had been a Democrat.
Carmine Sabia reported for Conservative Brief with more details the killing, adding:
A New Jersey Republican councilmember has been murdered in what has been described as a “targeted attack.” Council member Eunice Dwumfour of Sayreville, New Jersey, was shot and killed outside of her residence on Wednesday.
“Police say they believe the Republican councilwoman and Newark native was the intended target of the shooting, but do not have a clear motive. They think her car traveled about 100 feet before slamming into two parked cars. Dwumfour was elected to the council in 2022. She was also a business analyst and part-time EMT,” WABC-TV reported.
“Eunice was a dedicated member of our Borough Council who was truly committed to serve all of our residents. The fact that she was taken from us by a despicable criminal act makes this incident all the more horrifying,” Sayreville Mayor Victoria Kilpatrick said, adding:
“As Mayor I have worked very closely with Eunice in her time on the Borough Council. Beyond her dedication to our community, I can share that she was a woman of deep faith and worked hard to integrate her strong Christian beliefs in to her daily life as a person and a community leader. On a personal note, I can’t adequately express my feeling of sorrow at the loss of a friend.”
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, who heads the state with some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, also expressed his sorrow.
“I am stunned by the news of Sayreville Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour’s murder last evening in an act of gun violence. Her career of public service was just beginning, and by all accounts she had already built a reputation as a committed member of the Borough Council who took her responsibility with the utmost diligence and seriousness, ” Murphy said, adding:
“I send my condolences to Councilwoman Dwumfour’s family and friends, her governing body colleagues, and the entire Sayreville community. Sayreville is a proud, tight-knit, and safe community and I know that it will come together, as it always has, in common purpose. The New Jersey State Police are supporting the ongoing investigation, and I urge anyone with information to contact either the Sayreville Police or the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.”
She had ousted a sitting Democrat in Sayreville in November 2021, and was not up for reelection until 2024.
Dwumfour was elected to a three-year term on the six-member borough council in November 2021, according to election results. She also served as a member of the Human Relations Commission, according to the Sayreville website.
Sayreville, located in central New Jersey, has a population of about 45,000 people, according to the US Census.
On the Sayreville GOP website from 2021, Dwumfour asked the public to support her run for the council.
