The leader of the Heritage Foundation delivered a statement on Tuesday, warning liberals that they are currently facing the consequences of “the second American Revolution,” which has the potential to become violent if they oppose it.
Kevin Roberts, the leader of Heritage, made an appearance on the Real America’s Voice network to express his approval of a series of conservative victories made by the U.S. Supreme Court. One of these rulings, announced on Monday, said that both Donald Trump and all future presidents are completely protected from criminal prosecution for any actions they take in their official capacity.
We’re in the process of taking this country back,” Roberts told viewers. “No one in the audience should be despairing.
Roberts asserted that presidential immunity is crucial in order to maintain a strong and active Executive, as outlined in the Federalist Papers. He proceeded to directly address the radical left, issuing a warning:
But number three, let me speak about the radical left. You and I have both been parts of faculties and faculty senates and understand that the left has taken over our institutions. The reason that they are apoplectic right now, the reason that so many anchors on MSNBC, for example, are losing their minds daily is because our side is winning.
And so I come full circle on this response and just want to encourage you with some substance that we are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.
During his appearance on MSNBC last weekend, Roberts faced intense questioning over Heritage’s “Project 2025” by the biased host. However, he effectively defended his position against the barrage of biased questioning aimed at discrediting the group’s political agenda. This project details a range of measures that would be implemented if Trump were to be reelected, including the dismantling of the administrative state.
When the topic of immigration was brought up during the live interview, the discussion got tense.
Alicia Menendez, Michael Steele, and Symone Sanders-Townsend attempted to extract specific information from Roberts regarding the intricacies of the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025. This project consists of a collection of conservative policy recommendations published by the Right-wing think tank. Menendez inquired about the precise details of the group’s immigration proposal.
“I’m specifically interested, as it relates, Doctor Roberts, to the deportation of immigrants in this country, just understanding sort of how it is going to work,” Menendez said.. “When you talk about folks on the interior, how you see, a future administration utilizing the National Guard, ICE, police forces to deport something like 11 million people.”
“Well, first of all, we need to close the border,” Roberts said. “And secondly, we need to have the biggest mass deportation system ever in the history of America because it is unjust and illegal and evil that more than 10 million illegal aliens have come to this country. It’s imperative that we send those people back, invite them back to come through the legal system. We love immigrants and heritage, but we also love the rule of law.”
Sanders-Townsend requested precise details.
“How do you plan to carry that out?” Sanders-Townsend asked. “Are you talking about going door-to-door?”
Roberts contended that implementing a strict policy would effectively persuade numerous migrants to voluntarily go.
“There’s going to be a lot of self-deportation,” Roberts said. “The interesting thing, as you no doubt know, is that simply talking about this and beginning to implement a plan — and President [Donald] Trump deserves a lot of credit for talking about this, causes people to say, ‘I don’t want to run the risk of being arrested for doing something illegal.’ But secondly, there are great plans using the Department of Homeland Security to return to these people back to south of the border.”
