When it was revealed that the FBI had given agents permission to use “deadly force” during the raid on the former president’s Mar-A-Lago residence, former President Donald Trump reacted angrily.
“WOW! I just came out of the Biden Witch Hunt Trial in Manhattan, the ‘Icebox,’ and was shown Reports that Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, in their Illegal and UnConstitutional Raid of Mar-a-Lago, AUTHORIZED THE FBI TO USE DEADLY (LETHAL) FORCE. NOW WE KNOW, FOR SURE, THAT JOE BIDEN IS A SERIOUS THREAT TO DEMOCRACY. HE IS MENTALLY UNFIT TO HOLD OFFICE — 25TH AMENDMENT!” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Tuesday evening.
Authorized by then-FBI D.C. field office commander Steven D’Antuono and Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland, the operation saw highly armed FBI operatives storm the former president’s estate.
According to recently discovered documents, agents have the right to search the former president’s estate with “deadly force” if needed. The approval was given as a part of the effort to retrieve sensitive data that Trump is said to have illegally held after taking office. Records indicate that plans were made for potentially violent altercations, including ones involving Trump’s security detail, which is made up of former Secret Service agents.
In addition, agents were picking locks and approaching Mar-A-Lago guests door to door.
According to the records, agents were ready to assassinate the Secret Service if necessary and were anticipating resistance. In order to help with any potential gunshot wounds, agents even brought in a trauma wound specialist.
“The FBI risked the lives of Donald Trump, his family, his staff, and MAL guests for a publicity stunt to make it look like Trump stole national security files,” said veteran reporter Julie Kelly. “People need to be arrested for this.”
