At the outset of a press conference on Tuesday from Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump issued dire warnings about a World War III and an economic slump akin to that of the 1920s.

Shortly after arriving at the stage, the former president declared that this is the “most dangerous time” in American history.

“I think our country right now is in the most dangerous position it’s ever been in from an economic standpoint, from a safety standpoint. Both gangs on the street and frankly gangs outside of our country in the form of other countries that are frankly very powerful,” he said.

The presidential candidate for the Republican Party asserted that the US is inexperienced in international affairs.

“We don’t know what we’re doing. We have leadership that has no clue,” he said.

In reference to the Great Depression, Trump forecasted a “depression of the 1929-variety.” In addition, he said that “very powerful countries” make fun of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and that we are “very close” to starting World War III.

“We’re very close to that and we’re very close to a world war in my opinion — we have people that don’t know how to handle it,” he said.

Following his prophecy of impending disaster, Trump promised three unofficial debates with Harris on Fox News, ABC, and NBC. Trump had previously declared that he wanted to move the September debate from ABC to Fox, as he had committed to when Biden was still running.
